This mural was originally painted during the week of August 30 through September 3, 1999 by Ms. Mylanders along with the assistance of 11 ITMS students. The mural shows the days of the Seminole Indians to the exploration of space. The original teams at ITMS represented a different time period of our state. Sixth grade was represented by the Navigators, Nomads, and Vikings; the seventh grade by the Goal Diggers, Explorers, and Pioneers; and the eighth grade by the Lasers, Supersonics, and Orbiters. The mural was refurbished by Mandy Bernardi during the summer of 2001.

This painting was created by Fred and Sheri Robinson of "Robinsons Painting by Design" for Mrs. McNeal's Social Studies classes while working with the Pebbles Technology project.  The purpose of the project was to lead students through the creation of curriculum-oriented projects that will incorporate the use and mastery of Information Literacy skills. This will help provide students with the ability to find and use information appropriately.
